Hello there! I’m Laura Stone, creator and owner of Venue On Main. I’m also the owner of The Painted Stone Barbershop in Peggs and the founder of Local Vibe Magazine—so yes, it’s safe to say I love business, creativity, and building things that matter.

Locust Grove—my hometown—has been on my heart for a long time. I remember when Main Street was thriving, full of life, connection, and pride. In November of 2025, while photographing local businesses for a Local Vibe Magazine feature, I found myself standing in front of this space. I lingered there longer than planned—and I just knew. This was it.

I went home and brainstormed relentlessly, asking myself what kind of business would not only fit the space, but also fit my life. I wanted something meaningful, flexible, and impactful—something I didn’t have to be present for every single day, since my barbershop already demands that kind of hands-on commitment. That’s when the vision for an event venue became clear.

From there, things moved quickly. I contacted Jerry, the building owner, worked through the numbers, trusted my gut, and signed the lease.

My goal with Venue On Main goes beyond creating a beautiful, elevated space for your celebrations. This project is about bringing charm, energy, and intention back to Main Street. While Venue On Main is available to rent for your special events, I’ll also be hosting my own signature events—so there’s always something inspiring happening here.

The remodel is still underway, and this is very much a work in progress—but the venue will be ready to host events starting Spring 2026.

The space includes approximately 864 square feet in the main venue area, along with a full kitchen, bar area, and restroom—designed to be versatile, welcoming, and full of possibility.
